New suspension
« on: 16 March 2012, 19:49 »
Had the car in today to take the KW V3s off and fitted Bilstein PSS10s instead,
The kws i found were a bit of a hard ride even on the softest settings, 1st impressions of the ps10s are a remarkable improvement and they are set 7 front and 6 rear which is a firm setting, when i get back from Spa in a couple of weeks, i will try it on the softest setting to see what it is like for trundling round town etc and will update you in due course

Also while it was in i had my oil, filter changed, iridium plugs fitted, and DSG oil n filter changed
I found that the DSG was starting to jerk a bit when putting into gear from a standstill, after the oil gearbox oil change it is now much much smoother and cannot even feel it engaging gear now and that is with a solid rear engine mount aswell,

All in all pretty pleased with my little self

Forgot to mention i also got them to change the XDS setting to 2 as it was on 0, yet to see what difference this makes

Can I ask how much the DSG oil change was? My DSG seems to have lost a little smoothness, might be worth a try.
