r-tech feedback
« on: 15 March 2012, 18:11 »
hi all,

i am considering a trip to R-Tech for a Stage One remap. i would be thinking the forge 008 and probably a piper cross panel filter to go with it. the car is well looked after, no codes and runs nicely.

i know the majority of feedback that i have seen has been really positive, but i am just paranoid that i will be the one that has bad luck with them. has everyone had good experiences with them (feel free to PM me if you don't want to post on here)? As i said, everything i have heard is positive.

I'm running an AGU (ko3) so would be expecting around 190bhp as a return. i am not looking to do too much, but would just like it to feel like a GTi should. how much difference (any figures) would you expect it to have? i am not the sort of person for standing starts and things like that, but a little extra through the gears and the extra torque would be nice

cheers all

Simon

i cant recomend them enough!!

iv also got a AGU but running a ko4-022 turbo and very good suporting mod's! and iv manage to break the 300bhp mark!

prior to that, you just need to go on feedback alone!

your car will have a good going over before anythings done to make sure everything is 100% ok!

they get a big thumbs up from me!

cool - cheers for that.

are there bits worth checking prior to a visit? i would have a good few hours drive up there, and would hate for it to be a wasted trip if something isn't right - the car feels good (and always has)

P.S. good work on the 300bhp mark - i bet she is a handful in the wet without 4wd

its more of looking for weak pipes, so its well worth giving your car a good going over your self, comon one is under the inlet manifold, the oil breather, its prone to splits

yeah nikis loved mapping it! dont wana give it back  i pick it up saterday  cant wait

i had my car mapped by them when it was completely standard. also drive an agu ko3. ended up with 180bhp. not as much as you're expecting, but it's enough to notice the difference from standard and will sure put a smile on your face. diagnosed car first and found 2 boost leaks. both were sorted within minutes, so go for it!
