Car towing legalitys
« on: 15 March 2012, 00:05 »
Changing:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/DriverLicensing/DG_201202

So basically I'm worse off then a new driver that passes after the new rules.

Total load of crap. I assume I'll never be able to tow more then 750 withought a further license? This won't change anything for me?

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.

So irritating.

Could someone please confirm that if I stick a MK3 on the back of my dad's LT (both should be together under 3500kgs) that he can tow it. License well before 1997.

Cheers.

This is hardly news and it ensures licensed nippers are safer on the road than us oldies.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Plus if you DO pass your test and get a trailer you'll be able to sell your services to your peers who can't tow legally.

Ok cheers guys. Just going to double check the weight of the LT.

Am looking at a trailer. Do we think a MK3 TDi will tow cars or should I just hold out for the MK4?

Neither  cos once you add in the weight of the trailer you will be lucky if the car can tow anything much bigger than a mini, legally  :lipsrsealed:

And Thia is regarding the towing capacity of the tow car, not ur licence

And we're talking about a classic mini her and not a BMW.
