r32 shocks will not fit because the 4mos are different set up

as for coilovers depends on your budget.

if you have 200 quid your only real options are jom or fk. both do the job, but nowere near as good as a set of eibachs or simelar. if you have a bit more look into eibach, the higher models of fks (high sports ect.)

if your wanting to go really low and have a grand spare then look into air.

the spring determines the height.. changing shocks won't make it lower. as for coilies my preferences are (in cost increasing order!) JOM, v-maxx, weitec then GAZ. i personally would avoid any sub £200 coilover kits apart from JOM.

I agree, cheap coilies are awful. So are Jom unless you like using your spine as a spring.

i dont think they ride too bad... way better than similar offerings from raceland, AP, FK AK and TA Technix. still its a "best of a bad bunch" situation when you compare them to the expensive sets.

id just seen some "short shocks" on ebay like so thought i would ask the question.
Cheers for the hlep guys.
What do most people run on here, i see a lot of FK talk, or JOM.
To be honest i would prefer to go with the Eibach coilover set up - I really rate my current springs so hopefully the coilover set would be awesome!
Any reviews of them would be much appreciated!

are the shocks on the GTi not a shorter throw that the ones on a non-GTi? for some reason i thought they were.

either way, if they are on the original stock shocks there are likely to wear much quicker with the new springs
