Hey guys,
I'm running standard shocks and Eibach pro springs.
Want the back to sit a little lower, what shocks should I go for? Are the bilstein shocks shorter?
Arent you running a 1.6? If so, bilstein shocks will probably help. I have a 1.8t, and put on Bilstein B4's and the Eibach Pro Springs, and it dropped the height by about 20mm over the original GTi height (so 30mm over the standard height...i think - someone correct me if im wrong)
if nothing else they will help in the long run, as the stock shocks will wear quite badly on shorter springs - its not the cheapest though, especially if you have already had to pay out to take bits apart to get the springs on not that long ago.
Coilies will probably suit you more though if you want it to sit really low - i personally didnt want that and wanted to improve the handling a bit with the stiffer setup while retaining the comfort as well, and it seems a good compromise. depends what you are after though.
