Newsouth boost gauge

How many wires should there be from the back of the gauge? As there is just ared and a black out of the one i hav. Cheers
anyone who can or knows someone that can notch my chassis in south west area please message me!!

That's correct, the other Newsouth gauges have Red (Pos) Black (Ground) White (Dimmer), the boost gauge doesn't seem to have the extra wire for dimming.

Although I guess you would just wire the red (pos) up to the dimmer switch on the headlights if you wanted it to dim?

So would it be best to put the red from the boost gauge in with the white wires for dim. Or would it still need to be wired in with the rest of the reds cheers fot the quick reply

I don't see why that wouldn't work, as when the voltage decreases with the dimmer switch, the LED's would dim.

Plus it would only light up when your sidelights are turned on.

red wire i spliced into dash light dimmer and black i bolted on to chassis my gauge came with 2 red crimp things for the splicing
