It's a motorsport inspired wheel. Back in the day Audi did this mount to clear the massive brake calipers and keep the wheel inside the arch.

I'm not a fan but that's why they did it

Respect that but these are reverse assemblied as such, if you compare them to the audi wheels.

The Audi is reverse mount. But the have a 1" lip the golf has a rotiform 0" lip

Did you move your car later on Mate as I am sure I remember looking at this parked next to mine just before I left. I was in the very next row to where this picture was took (almost directly opposite the soft top).

nope, parked it there when you guys arrived (followed you in) then didnt touch it untill i left at about 4pm

nope, parked it there when you guys arrived (followed you in) then didnt touch it untill i left at about 4pm

Doh......only just realised that I can be seen with my bootlid up in your pic and that explains why I was looking at yours from inside my car !!!!!
