Z4 v Corrado VR6
« on: 26 May 2005, 16:09 »
Had a nice little run back from work today - following a new BMW Z4. It was a young guy driving it, and I could see him looking at my car in his mirror. He was overtaking and powering out of corners with some determination, but it was a nice feeling to know this new sports car couldn't shake off my 10 year old VW. I dont think he was overly imprresed with it, and was probably on his way back to the dealer to complain about being made to "look silly by this old car"
It's good to know the Storm has the ability to surprise a few newier and flashier motors!

All the time cars like the Z4 are offered with engine choices such as a 2 litre 4 cylinder 150bhp, it's not too difficult to embarress the fools that buy them

I'm sure all Z4s handle excellently but if you're not going to specify a decent engine then what's the point?

BMW make a lot of money out of people who want the badge but can't afford the proper cars.  Hence the creation of the 1 series.

Maybe it just takes a real car like your storm to show them the error of their ways!

A VR6 isn't a way of life, it's just a car.

cant fault that VW badge!! another thing to consider is the mileage differance between them. what mileage is your storm on?

The storm is coming up for 93000 now - It was rollling roaded at AmD after a "tune up", and depsite pushing out over 200 bhp, the guy told me it was still a tight engine and would loosen up some more.
Like a fine wine - it can only improve with age.
