Well cannot believe how long t is since I last posted...
Don't panic I've been doing loads on the car.
After much debate I've decided to use the shell above, it was just too good to scrap.
Had new inner and outer sills wielded in.
Ground and cut out some of the engine bay.
Spent around 100 or so hours flitting the bay and plugging holes through the bulkhead.
I've had all the engine mounts blasted.
I'll try and get some pics up, as I've taken loads all the way along.
Oh and or anybody considering such a job, ensure you leave the guard on the grinder. As I spent the best part of this weekend sat in a&e with a heavily ground index finger. While the pain isn't too bad believe me the inconvenience of losing one hand is enough. And no I don't have any pics just a few stitches as a reminder of my mk1 project
