starter motor problem
« on: 09 March 2012, 18:38 »
this has happened twice to me now.

the stater motor has stuck and wont turn at all,the car will only start if you bump start it.

after that the motor is fine until it happens again is it worth dismanteling it and cleaning it all up or just get a new one?

Sounds like a burnt spot if so it will need replacing.

Wont fix a burnt spot though - a local car electrical specialist may be able to do it cheaper than buying a recon one  :undecided:

Seems obvious but have you checked the wiring too? Mine was playing up and luckily it turned out to there been a poor connection to the starter.

might have a look at that now, because the glowplug light is just flashing like the battery is dead but its not.
