green thing on my gearbox?

sorry to sound so dumb, but what is the green looking large nut with a hole in it on top of the gear box?

It's a timing hole,whatever you do DONOT put oil in it!

It's a timing hole,whatever you do DONOT put oil in it!

Its where you would plug in a 1367 to accurately adjust the timing.
