I just brought a Mk3 Cab, took it to get the tracking done and they said they couldn`t do it because there should have been 10 threads but there was only 4.  What to do now?

Very strange, wrong steering rack maybe

Not sure, my boyfriend has had a look and there is no thread left on the track rod ends!

In that case, you have the wrong track rod ends or steering rack.
