The best way to get charcaol up to heat fast, is get newspaper, scrunch it up and twist tight, putting about 10 or more pieces down. Then lay the charcaol ontop, and light the paper underneath. Get your misses hair dryer, and blow the paper on the low setting first, then use the high setting once the charcaol bricks start to catch light.
No need for the use of some stinking accelerant, and the hair dryer blows the paper embers/ash out. Takes about 10 minutes, then you start cooking.
