It's a known fact that the little blue dash light actually helps you see the road ahead at night when there is no oncoming traffic.....  How bizarre.

My MK1 doesn't have one, mine is amber but has the same affect.

I know, argh!!!  I had it in my head you meant sidelights and full lights, What an arse I am hahah

But Mind and have the blue full beam light on within the console....

These are driving lamps, not fog or side lights and only work on full beam...

aha, aha, aha!!!!   Thanks, that's fixed it, I didn't realise I didn't have the full beam on, I found how to put the blue light on just now and they work fine now.

and I've got got a shiny new multimeter out of it too ,
