Which Tyres?
« on: 04 March 2012, 11:35 »
As above, I need 2 new tyres for the R32 wheels. They need to be 225/40/18, and I've got a maximum budget of £200 for both.

So far I'm looking at following:

Avon ZV5 or Avon ZZ3 (not sure how much difference there is between them!) at £87 each

Or

Falken 452's at £75

Or

Uniroyal Rainsport II's at £90 each

Or

Toyo Proxes T1R's at £95 each

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Falkens. They've been good to me. Good grip in the dry and the wet and they've lasted over 25k now!
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

If you go Avon, use ZV3 or try the Goodyear Eagle F1.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

Sounds like Falkens are the one to go for then, they've got pretty good reviews most places

I used Goodyear eagle f1 (gsd3 and asymmetric) as well as Toyo t1r, my feeling is the the side walls are really soft on the eagle f1, Toyo t1r feels better with a soofter compound but does not work so well as a daily due to wear and cold temperature performance compared to the eagle f1
