MOT Advisory comments … Does this sound expensive?

I'm looking at a Golf Anniversary and looking back at the MOT test history on the Direct Gov website it passed its previous MOT but had a number of advisories. Those were:

Steering system has slight free play detected at steering wheel (2.2.A.1a)
Offside Rear between flexible hose Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)
Oil leak
Oil in exhaust system
O/S/R tyre uneven wear inner edge
N/S/R wheel binding slightly
Front brake discs badly corroded unevenly worn
O/S/F brake backplate corroded

Do any of those sound bad (and therefore expensive) or is it tricky to say without looking at the actual problems in person?

Been told that "The oil in the exhaust system I know was residue after the turbo was removed and sent for sublet repairs. They said it would burn off naturally once used for a week or two & now no problems."

Nothing major really apart from (steering system has slight free play detected at steering wheel) you could be looking at a track rod end which is cheap enough to sort but if it is a rack problem that will be big bucks to sort.

Thanks for this really appreciated. To be honest I'm a little torn between keeping my MK3 16V GTI and getting a MK4 Anni. Looking at how much MK3's go for it seems such a small amount of money for a car I know has been fantastic for me over the past 3 years. Ummmmm.

If the MK3 is in good shape Id say keep it, MK4s are not worth much (Annis are worth a bit more) and if not looked after / copy parts have been fitted they can be a nightmare for faults especially electrical ones.

That said ive had mine for years and the worst electrical fault has been a Temp sender!
