I can take the radio out at the weekend if necessary,

No need anymore thank you.

I trial fitted the kit into my Father-in-laws Passat (with RNS) and he was so impressed with how it worked, he asked if he could keep it. So deal done, but I'm now bluetoothless. I'm therefore now after another kit that is configured to plug straight into my RCD. Can anyone help me with this?

I bought this a couple of weeks ago: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-BLUETOOTH-KIT-SEAT-SKODA-MFD3-RNS-510-RNS-310-RCD-510-RNS-315-5K0-035-730-D-/280838820496?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item41634c5290

I had no real issues apart from I still have some VCDS errors coming up.  But everything works fine, including the mic.  The way the mic is connected with this system is via an extra feed on the adaptor loom direct back to the BT unit, already catered for so no pin isssues etc.  The whole thing was plug 'n' paly to the RCD510.

That's good news, I bought the exact same kit yesterday.

Will do. I rang them before hand and he assured me that he had plugged one straight into a RCD510 that day, coded it and it worked just as the factory one.

Mine has been marked as dispatched, but I'm away this weekend, so will not get to fit it until early next week.

Edit my last post, it came this morning, and I was so excited, I fitted it straight away.

This kit is bang on, very good quaility and works first time. It is also good as they have fitted different plugs so that you can choose where you plug the mic into depending on whether you have an RCD or RNS.

I had already coded my car for phone prep, so the job took well less than 1 hour. Even with coding, you are only looking at an hours work.

Right, I need to get back to work now and earn some money.

Does the kit fit under the seat as OEM (which i want) or tuck below the radio?

There's loads of room under the radio, behind the climate control panel.
