Motorsport on council TV?
« on: 03 March 2012, 14:15 »
Hi,
Need some motorsport in my life  :cry:
Feeling the drought until GP starts again, even then its only limited BBC coverage.
Is there anything on freeview at the minute?  Not seen anything even pop up on ITV4, though BTCC starts soon in April.  What happened to WRCC on Dave, has it passed me by?

Yeah freeview sucks. I got sky last week and with the entertainment extra pack you get eurosport channels as well as a few other car & motorsport dedicated channels. Looks like you either get sky or watch freeview, which honestly sucks.

sky is about £35 iirc.  £35x12monts=£420

pint =£2.20ish
4 pints a race = just under a tenner.
£10x20races=£200
heck i could even have 8 pints a race and it'd still be cheeper

and if my mates working the bar ill get them for cheeper / free :D

never watch tv anyway so would be pointless me paying for it and noone else in the house would fork out for it. only watch tv for half a hour while im having tea and thats it, last time the tv in my room was plugged in was around christmas time :D

Minimum to watch F1 on sky is £30.25. £20 is for Sky entertainment only which doesn't get you F1 channel, so you need to pay the £10.25 extra a month for HD, which will get you F1. However for £5 more you get the entertainment extra pack, which has 90 more channels compared to entertainment only. So £35.25 a month for 90 extra channels on top of the freeview channels + HD content. That includes Sky+HD box and installation.

Expensive, but at least I get F1 with Crofty and Brundle, all my fav programs in HD and a bunch of car and motorsport dedicated channels to keep my entertained, as well as a load of documentaries.

If however you don't watch TV as you said it's pointless paying all that money for only F1. Sky are a rip off at the end of the day, but I just can't do without F1.
