Rough running!
« on: 02 March 2012, 22:22 »
Hi,  haven't been on here for a while.  Just had the starter motor changed, but now the car is running rough!  I.e at idle after acceleration it is up and down.  Imagine how it sounds when you first start it from cold and the auto choke kicks in! It revs up then down.  It doesn't rev high, it's more like it drops to below 800 and then pops up and then down again!

Don't have a fault code reader and kinda hoping it's summit simple,  hope you can help?

Cheers

Might give that a try before sending her to a garage!  Any other possibilities, was thinking it might be the MAF after looking at the mk4 fault topic.
