Performance oil filters

I've done loads of searches but can't find anything on the subject. K&N oil filter or any other oil filter? Is it better to get a performance oil filter as I'm due a service.

i just called my local steelers and he was sayin it wouldnt make any difference....... they didnt have one in anyway and im doin mine tomoz all i got is the standard one to go on i aint worried!!!!!

AGU 1.8T. Mods done: R32 front bumper, turborev smic, ngk platinum spark plugs, uprated pancake pipe, demon motorsport boost hoses, forge 007 dv, forge engine cover, r-tec stage 1 map ,home made cold airfilter ,run on 98 ron fuel and castrol edge 0w 40 oil. Advanti racing alloys.
