Retro fit cruise control

Hi has anybody fitted a vw retro fit cruise control system ? I ve seen the stalks with ecu section on ebay. Also would the snap on diagnostic pc thingy we have at work turn it on or would it have to be a vw dealer? mines a 2003 150 tdi. any info or tips please :smiley:

I had mine fitted by a VW dealer, advertised on the VW website as £185 fitted. Parts alone cost £85/£90 if I remember... They took about 3 hours to fit it so think that I had a good deal. Initially the dealer quoted me over £250 until I told them about the advertised price...

That not bad ive seen the bits on ebay genuine parts for £83 and hopefully pull a few strings through work to get it turned on . fingers crossed lol

I've just picked up a new old stock stalk for £30, and will be making up my own wiring loom soon :)

1993 GTI 8v 5dr matt black and green - the 'sh!tball rally car'
