gear knob removal

how the bloody hell do you remove the gear knob?
also why doe my car have all the interior trim in that strange silver black carbon kinda look stuff but my gear knob is a kind of wood effect?

Lift the gaitor over the knob, n remove the steel ring and slide it off.

A real 304bhp 286lbft in a mk4 golf!

Lift the gaitor over the knob, n remove the steel ring and slide it off.

ah right so the gaiter is part of the knob then? can i remove the gaiter from the knob?

no non of its wrapped. its not carbon its that strange metal look stuff can explain it lol. and the gear knob is an original wood mahogany or something typr one.

yh thats standard.. get the black gear knob off the bay its about 6 quid looks 10x better then wood one
