Hi. Where to start. My dad had a mk2 Jetta 1.8 8v with a gear box problem so I thort about putting a mk3 abf init and was told the best way to go about this was to buy a doner car. So fast forward a month or two. About two weeks ago I bort a mk3 16v gti to use as my daily. Dad was on about selling the Jetta so after a lot of thinking and head scratching I thort the Jetta is in too gooda nick (shell, body work and interior) to sell just bcoz of the gear box. So I'm gunna buy the Jetta off him
and use my 16v as the doner car. My question is how much do I need of the mk3 for the conversion? And what else do I need to get that the Jetta and the golf hasn't got? Any other info/ advise would be great
