Couple of bits showed up today, new rear plate lights, eibach 8mm spacers at the correct centre bore and my tyres:

Spacer doesn't protrude passed the wheel centre which is great or I was going to have them turned down:

Just need the stainless bolts to show up for the numberplate lights and the boot plinth and I can get that back on. Then just the longer bolts for the rear wheels! Tyres are getting fitted Saturday so I'm hoping to get the arches cleaned, the wheels sealed and fitted and maybe lower a tad more to suit if I have time!

Got the stainless bolts through today, so got the plinth back on and finally put the plate on slightly lower down. It's always been too high and always annoyed me! The screws for the numberplate lights were abit smaller than the original ones and don't feel quite as secure but seem okay.

Plate before:

Plate now:

Might seem a tad anal but it's made the back end look miles better! Just wish I had before shots of the first photo to show the difference!

Hopefully have some more exciting updates Saturday/Sunday!

Cheers buddy, did some more cleaning tonight haha really can't wait for the rs's now!

Picked up my longer bolts for the rear wheels today and looks like I'd ordered tapered instead of radius :( wounded! Need to get some by Saturday for the rs's. Hopefully I'll find something locally!

Had all the wheels off tonight and scrubbed at the under arches with a stiff brush and all purpose cleaner. They wernt that dirty anyway which was nice, naff all rust either except surface on the hubs etc

Also painted the calipers in smooth silver. Was tempted to leave the rears bare as they looked brand new! All disks are also as new!

No pics of painted calipers but looks much better. Ended up just getting in the zone haha lowered the front 3 threads and rear 2 also. All good for rs's Saturday bar the longer bolts to space the rears :( few random pics:

Generally crap pics as it was sunny so couldn't see what I was taking haha

Quick pic of the car as it ended:

Thanks Wayne, so am i! I'm hoping today will be the day! Picked up some more bolts yesterday for the rear but they need cutting down a tad, will get that sorted at work today!

Thanks JV! It's always bugged me but it seems it was more or less cemented on by VW when it got a new boot, all sorted now though, just took awhile to get all the stuff off haha

Worked this morning and chopped down the longer wheel bolts I managed to get hold of whilst I was there. As soon as I finished and got home I packed the car up and went and got the tyres fitted:

It was raining when I got home so I waited for it to stop and cracked on fitting the rs's complete with 8mm eibach spacers at the rear, comparison shot to the picture I took the other night, minus centre caps:

With centre caps:

Looks amazing in person and I feel all the hard work and money etc has paid off, though on forums it's just another mk2 on rs's haha
