New memeber - First Mk2 Golf!

Afternoon Guys,

just tried to register to this forum and looks like i have done in the past some how!

Picked up my Mk2 GTI last saturday and i am over the moon with it. I've always wanted one since i was about 8 and my grandad had an oak green gti. I was a little worried my childhood dream car would be disappointing but after a short drive i loved it and had to buy it.

It's a 1992 8v (proper gti ) GTI runout model, 51k on the clocks, massive amounts of service history etc was too good to pass up!

How much did it set you back? It's amazing!

Thanks very much! I wouldnt like to say exactly but less than half the price of the only other one i could find with such mileage and history (albeit 47k instead of my 51k and it had standard spec rm's on opposed to my ra's)

It's good to have project page for you own benefit, but most of us have a Dub Rides thread as well where we duplicate what we post in our projects. It allows people to comment as you go along.  I use both as it's still good to see the project without pages and pages of natter.  My project section takes up 12 pages but in dub rides it takes up over 160!
