Windows and MOT
« on: 28 February 2012, 21:23 »
Hi, have an MOT test on thursday, and my window regulator is broken (still tring to source a new part!). I have put a bit of string from the winder to the handle to stop the window opening by itself. Is this an MOT problem or not?

Thanks :)

I don't think I've ever had an MOT where the windows have been tested.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

This.

As far as I am aware the only glass listed in the test is the windscreen.

Just wind them all down.  If for some reason he winds them up you can say the broke it!

But, seriously, as above. Not part of MOT.

Thanks everyone, was about 90% sure as it came up on a previous car, just wanted to make sure though

Cheers :)
