I'm in the process of purchasing an dslr for my birthday. Prob going to go for the Canon eos 1100d as its in my budget and I am looking forward to getting some pics posted!

If this question has been asked before please forgive me, what are the moderators views on a classified section?

This moderator's view is 'eh?'

This section is tiny, with a few members.  I'd suggest heading to a dedicated photography forum if you want a good choice of photography kit.

Fair enough, I have a basic grasp of photography but want to start experimenting a bit more. It's a bloody mine field on the net with different forums etc. Do you have any recommendations for any sites or literature I could use/purchase?

Lots of useful books on Amazon, understanding exposure (or anything by Bryan Peterson) is one of those! Youtube can be very useful for guides on how to do something.

For forum classifieds I use talk photography but it's quite strict on how you trade. Saying that I've never bought off there.

The 1100d should serve you well, welcome to the slippery slope!

That's because you don't post pictures that would *Ahem, normally appear in Amateur Photographer magazine.

I have seen this on ebay, Canon EOS T3 1100D

Is it a reasonable price? I am going to take the plunge tomorrow and buy a camera!
