New to the forum so you may have to bear with me. Back in november i decided that it was time to say goodbye to my mk3 golf and buy something a little more interesting. It was a toss up between a mk1 gti and a mk2 gti. However my brother said he would go halfs on whatever we bought and his knowledge is a little more extensive than mine. He found a pretty tidy mk2 golf driver only about an hour away and we decided to go and have a look. what it didnt say on ebay is that it had been sat garaged since 2007 ! The owner had intentions of getting it back on the road so he had just had new coilovers fitted and a new clutch back in 07 at a cost of just over 400 pound. It was also rust free. He told me he wanted it gone so i offered him 400 pound cash there and then and he agreed

Got it home serviced it and the work begins! i shall be starting a build thread when ive got the time ! quite alot of work has been done already but ill detail all in the thread ! first pic below show it when i bought it and others how it is now.ill get some more of interior and rear up soon. Cheeky pic of my ibiza too ! on the lookout for new wheels aswell. Main aim was to just get it running sweetly and tidy it up.
