got my new cheap mk2 driver 1.6 as i knew the problems
aparantly??? the guy reconned the vacum butterfy valves stayed open causing it to over rev really badly, which it did when we picked it up, so during the 60mile tow

which was not fun, the battery died so my mate bump started it while i was towing, a disconneted the accelerator cable to find it idled perfectly all the way home?
is this over reving to do with the accelerator cable or is it still to do with this vacum valve?
