turbo,remap and i/c advice

Am at stage 1 at the mo with mods etc in sig below,if i was to put a k03s on and go stage 2 custom would i get away with stock i/c?i have money for the turbo and map but cant afford fmic at the mo as id want forge or ths.wot gains could i expect 25bhp &30 torque?
1.8T AGU 203bhp & 233lb/ft Rtech stage 1 custom remap,18"dezentz rims,lowered 40mm shocks n springs,whiteline 24mm adj rear arb,lcr axle bushes,polybushed arb,modified front bumper & valences,depo projector headlights,delocked,wrapped interior&bora gear knob,forge boost & coolant hoses,forge tip,forge 007p,samco vac hoses,simota aeroform cai,saiko michi catch can,deleted pcv system,r32 dogbone,miltek lg bore down pipe & sports cat/non res anni style system.

looks like your ready for stage 2 .You could get a turborev smic for £100 new off ebay. There about double the thickness.  :wink:
AGU 1.8T. Mods done: R32 front bumper, turborev smic, ngk platinum spark plugs, uprated pancake pipe, demon motorsport boost hoses, forge 007 dv, forge engine cover, r-tec stage 1 map ,home made cold airfilter ,run on 98 ron fuel and castrol edge 0w 40 oil. Advanti racing alloys.

I had a custom map with the standard side mount intercooler and the result was 233bhp & 240 ft/lb, have since fitted a forge FMIC - peak torque was up to 260 but it is needing a remap tweek and there is a noticeable amount of lag - after that slight lag it goes alreet :)

If going for an FMIC get it on and then have the car mapped.

Ok was hoping for a bit more torque than that with the k03s on as ive got 233 ft/IB with a k03 on stage 1.will prob go stage 2 with stock i/c then as a front mounts prob a long way off with my baby due soon lol

I have 256lb/ft on K03s. The torque is only a peak figure at full boost so more peak boost will theoretically give you more torque but it will stress the engine/gearbox more...

will agu engine be ok thought they were pretty strong?mines quite low milage and has been looked after so gearbox should b good ok im guessing?

loads of ppl put th s on init and they dont have probs with gearbox do they?though you got more bhp and could hold the peak boost for longer on the s.ill ask r tech hopefully goin up there next sat toby lol.
