bought some components and want to fit them but have heard that the orginal ones need drilled out so you can screw the new ones in does anyone know the correct size drill bit

the original vw speakers are not screwed in and the only way to change them is to drill them out and need to know what drill bit to use

well that all depends on the size of the screws you've bought to fix the new speakers in doesnt it
unless you're talking about the rivets.. in which case just use a 6mm to pop the head off the rivet then knock it through.
