Engine code
« on: 24 February 2012, 21:20 »
The old engine code issue.

I've recently purchased a 2ltr overbored 8v engine, with no timing belt cover and the head bolted down.  However the engine needs further parts to complete, however I don't know what the engine code is and I don't want to be buying incorrect parts.

I can clearly see it's a 2E block and can locate the head number, but really struggling to locate the block number.

Anybody help?

Not 100% sure but try looking in the boot where the spare tire is kept and there might be a label there.

The engine code should be on the front of the block just down from the top.
