If you have a laptop to hand then just get the cable because you can copy and save the fault codes and givea u short description what it is etc.. The code reader is more for on the go and will only show you the code.

Cheers Barrym and navmk4. What you guys think would be better, just the lead or one with the reader to. I don't mind spending up to 25 quid. And yeah navmk4 the link come up mate.

What version of windows you running?  VAGCOM is the best choice as you can log aswel

Ooops i've ordered the handheld one. I will order the lead to then. For when i'm not on the go, least i will have both then  And im running windows 7 mate.

VAGCOM is better but dont fink it works on Windows 7.... only Vista and XP (unless you pay for it from VAGCOM)

Does work on windows 7. Look at my how to on vagcom section that will help

just buy the handheld 1 it comes with a booklet with codes in etc and u can search here and rosstech for more code info
