im guessing A6 (or quad core) better battery and slightly thicker with retina display.

We will know in 17 or so days though i guess

nothing a jailbreak / 3rd party software hasn't already already provided, other than improved hardware. The bigger battery is said to compensate for the high resolution screen, so won't offer better battery life and around the same as it is now - according to people who have had hands on with it.

Never bothered jailbreaking my IPad just didt see the point I mainly use it for surfin the web & watching films.

Thats a moot point (jailbreak), quad core and retina display (potential 8 meg camera) are all worth while upgrades. Faster loading times for apps, awesome screen for videos and multitasking within web browsers made very easy.

Im in the same position as the 4S though, as in i have the iPad1 (had the 3GS before the 4S) so worth while for me. If you just web browse, watch films then probably not worth an upgrade to be honest, you might as well have an iPad1 if thats the case
