Can anyone suggest anywhere decent to get one day insurance for a car?

I need to drive my old 1.4 mk3 from uni in Coventry back to home in Ipswich

Good luck if you're under 25, I struggled to find any when I needed it as most insurers set that as their minimum age.

Does it not have any insurance on it at all? Becuase there is the new law that all cars have insurance unless they are SORN. You could always look into how much pay monthly insurance is then cancel it. I did that  Just check for hidden charges.

got loads of quotes from the ones that come up on google, they all wont insure anyone under 21, apart from one which wanted £46 which is too much

He said he will break and scrap it, not drive it without insurance like other scumbags out there. £46 for 1 days insurance is a bit of a joke however being 20 sounds like it will be almost impossible. I assume it currently has insurance on it? If you ask a family member nicely and pay for a single train ticket to Coventry they will be able to drive it third party back to Ipswich (usually as long as they are over 25).

yeah its not worth paying too much for, i'll just have it as home as a spare parts car and a car to drive round the farm, then eventually scrap it

its currently taxed but not insured so i need to decide what to do with it before i get fined

Do you not have breakdown cover? You could break down at the cars location, then get recovered to home?
