if you fit this wheels your on about you would have to remove the wheel well liners and then roll the arches. that would be pretty brave on a new car as its irreversible.

i wouldn't go wider than 8j on a golf.

Spotted these which lookin at a picture with them on a mk5 they aint that bad

http://www.autoalloys.com/Search%20Alloy%20Wheels%20By%20Car/Volkswagen/Golf%20MK6%20(08%20On)/Golf%20Mk6%20(08%20On)%2018%20Alloys/18%20Washington%205x112

But dont know if they are 8j all round as I am guessing I cant go anymore than 8 not even 8.5j on a mk6?

I've told you this before!!!
Jesus wept!!!

You can go to 8.5" wide on a 225 tyre, ET52...and it's tight.
So tight that going to a 235 tyre can rub slightly.
I know...I have some.

YOU WILL NOT GET AN 8.5" WIDE WHEEL, ET40, TO FIT WITHOUT RUBBING.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Looking at the price of those wheels, I wouldn't expect them to be the best quality either.

Been told to get suspension then wheels but what suspension? Had/got coils fk street on mk4 all wound down. I need comfort or a little softer than what I got on mk4 now as its everyday use with 18s

What's wrong with the original 18" Monza's anyway [I'm assuming that's what you have]  :undecided:
2012 R. Rising Blue 3 door DSG with 19" Talladega's, RNS510, Dynaudio, Cruise, DCC, Rear Cam, Colour MFD, Lux pack, Storage pack, Service plan.
