Can someone review my choices and state if these would work well I've only got to the componet selection at this stage!
The Water cooling unit might be chilled via phase cooler added ontop!
This is not gaming Rig GPU will be the last thing to be added, as long its got HDMI.

mines for gaming / everything normal use

i decided to get the i5 it saved me around £££ straight away and it can be clocked up easily enough. current out of the box @3.3ghz

Ram, im using 8gb with 2x4 sticks but i will be adding another 8 as DDR3 is cheap enough.

one thing i would recommend and you may want to get an i5 ect to pay for it, is a SSD i got an OCZ 120GB, there is currently an SSD on overclockers on offer. load the O/S on this, and then if you want mass storage just get a decently quick HDD.

Sounds like a nice gaming rig you got yourself there Dolly!
Yeah SSD's and GPU's I'm leaving off for now even RAM upgrades I just want this one stable for O/Cing six cores possible over 6Ghz for fun!
I'm most worried about the micro ATX board in the Silverstone case, the cores' take upto 120w, but with water chilled cooling I'm hoping I can get it cool enough?

Its about time intel unlocked there chips otherwise my Phase cooling stuff goes to waste.

i went for a largerish case and a full size atx motherboard, glad i did as theres ample room for Ram and the larger cooling set up on my i5. as well as alot of usb2 and usb2, Sata connections ect.
the large case is good for me its got like 5 case fans, even after hours of BF3 its more than comfortable. only downside is the noise from the air flow, abit annoying when watching a film or just listening to music, it doesnt matter when im in gaming mode, because im usually in the zone lol

a friend of mine got some microatx in a prebuilt machine and couldnt upgrade when he wanted to, for example he wanted to double the ram then found out hes only got 2 slots

Yeah the dim slots are limited (mATX) compared to six pairs not that you can use them all, but the theory is you can allocate the extra ram instead of buying SSD's and get fast cache speeds using a Ram software which I have been using for years!

You could always stick a 120mm or higher fan system as the CFM should be greater at lower RPM=less DB.

I'm looking at XSPC RayStorm CPU Waterblock for Intel (Raystorm Special Edition Copper)
I have a Rad and need to find a decent pump instead of all in one systems, but they are making it hard for me the all in one like corsair or Antec H20 kits are under £80.00!
I've already got a nice bit of monitoring temp kit by thermatake thats still in the box from 5 years ago that I haven't even opened yet

your main problem IMO is ASRock as sh1t I wouldn't touch their boards.

your second is the form factor, if your planning on going SLI then you're going to struggle for GPU cooling, the case is nice buy really suited for a HTPC type setup.

you might want to consider smaller ram sticks with tighter timmings, GSkill do a CL7 range but it's only 2GB per stick, so depends how aggressively you want to overclock and what you'll be doing with the PC.

At the moment 8GB is more than enough for games / photoshop, if you do heavy video editing and heavy photoshop then really you'll want 16GB at a minimum.

Haaaa yep thats the plan!
I do a bit of Vid encoding now and then. But also want to get 3D Porn really fast aswell!
As rock is up and comming they only ever bench against ASus MB
Agreed I would like to spend £250+ odd on a MB, but I might fry it instead!
I'm not a fan of full ATX I've always preferd SFF systems as surprisingly you can get alot out of them!
I'm not a gaming fan I have xbox and other devices dedicated!
Yep I've used corsair XMS pro before and might see if I can get decent timmings on the new rig.
Gskill I like there ethos of overclocking!
I've revised my list though...!
Water cooling is a must, but I'll vapour chill it, as direct phase might risk damage I can't afford to loose 1K just for fun
