induction kit or standard air box?

thinking of changing the standard air filter of an  induction kits good idear or not ? :smiley:

I have used K&N Filters on most my cars and never really lost any power, i make the effort to shiled it and get cold air to it, but if you make the effort, the added noise offsets the possible loss of power (which i never experiance)  but i never gain any power thats for sure.  nor did i when i drilled my old box...   so personally i think its down to lots of noise, and no power gain,  or less noise ... and no power gain.    induction kit looks better though!  :grin:

loads of people run induction kits with no problems if u want to do it then get it done  :smiley:

Pipercross panel filter in the standard air box is a good choice, pipercross being non oiled also avoids problems with the maf sensor.

I use a Pipercross induction kit on my 1.8T TT it sounds really good and made a difference especially after the remap
