DIY U.S Rubstrip 100% finished

Started this today .... Im using a bora rear rubstrip and welding it on to the golf one alls going fine until i relised the golf rubstrip has a line/groove in it and the bora dont :( so now ive got to sand the golf strip flat to make them match! Progress so far :)




 
Sanded abit then it rained also filled numberplate screw holes

Sweet, I'd like to do this as well, just dunno where I'd put the numberplate...that and I haven't got a clue how to plastic weld  :grin:

Ideally I'd like to just sack it off completely but I reckon it would only be a couple of hours before the bored old bill over here would collar me :rolleyes:

Soldering iron melts plastic lol i done it when it was on the bumper taped it down so it cant move made a 3/4 mm channel with the iron the plastic that curls up on the edge push back in melts some spare plastic in the gap do the channel thing again ...... Its quite easy when your doing it to be honest

Yeah i knew i didnt know where to put the plate but i done it anyway and deal with that when it comes to it im probally gunna get a sticker numberplate and put it on the top left of the windscreen (passenger) atleast then its visable to the "po-po" lol i put my numberplate there and it didnt look to bad  :lipsrsealed:

There ampr cameras csnt see theough glass ( i dont think) hence the sticker idea atleast then i can say ive put it on the side of the car thats most visable and hopefully blag my way out of it being extremely polite cause its enevitable i will get pulled lol

Trouble is they can give you a ticket every time they catch you with it in the windscreen and Im not that rich lol
