They look grey to me as well and as Wayne mentions, they don't look like the bolsters are deep enough to be GTI seats therefor more likely from a GL.

That is correct, they were only an option on GL's with dragen green paint, VR's  and GTI's never got them so they are standard seats.

I didn't know its only the GL's which came with these grey leather interiors, I would have just thought they where an optional extra for all trim levels, as I found this original looking VR6 with the grey leathers so but maybe they were added at a later date  :undecided: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270791733310?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I even offered the guy £300 for the interior plus my CL interior  :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed: he wasn't best pleased understandably, but it was worth a try
They weren't only an option on Dragon green mk3's, mine came from a lightish metallic blue GL, very similar to the OP's car.  It had only done 30k miles, so the seats are in great condition!

As mentioned, the bolsters on the back section are ever so slightly smaller than my old GTI seats, but the bolsters on the seat section actually seem a little bigger, certainly more huggable/holdable.

They are indeed grey, but a very light shade of.

I didn't know there where so any interior variations for mk3's, I just thought the grey ones that you have were just gti seats but covered with one of 3 leather colours and with different stiching patterens in the centers... In saying that, I've only just noticed that the grey/cream (grey) ones which I'm after are not actually recaros today. They looked pretty similar until i put two pics of them together and I noticed the recaros have bigger head rests and bolsters and different stiching in the centers again.

I came across this last night, these would be my ideal seats... (see 5th picture down): http://www.swdubs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2726

Cheers for the responses so far guys

Does anyone have are 5-door Cream Leather interior which they are selling? Or know anybody who is?, let me know .

Also, does anyone have any idea as to how much it would cost to get mk3 seats and door cards re-trimmed in cream leather... i'm guessing it would cost a lot more than it is worth, but thought I may aswell ask anyway

Stevens vw are a 20 minute drive from me mate, if you would like, i can always look at a set they have for you an take more photo's for you, I hate having to use them, but they kinda have you buy the nuts & they know it.....  lemme know

Cheers for the offer mate, don't go especally for me, but if you are passing by there and don't mind I would appreciate it, the set stevens have is the very first image in my original post. It doesn't come with the door cards sadly (i dont think), and its got some dodgy orange stain on the rear bench and when I asked them if it could be cleaned off they were a bit  :undecided: reluctant to give me a decent answer so I dunno if its stained permanently and they don't want to let on until the deal is done sort of thing... and also the bolsters are a bit wrecked i think. But yeah if your passing then I would greatly appreciate some extra photos + info etc... Cheers

Hmmm, I think the rear seats are different on the cabrios, and they have that big headrest thing aswell, but that dash sounds interesting

You were asking about cream, grey is different as that was available on VR's ,cabrio rear seat is very different, also Recaros on a mk3 were not offered from the factory in leather however many people have had them recovered.

The rear bench is definitely different, it's more like a two seater and has a large sweeping curve on the top section. They don't fold down either.

Any idea on how much it would cost to have all 4 door cards, front and rear seats and maybe parcel shelf re-trimmed in smooth leather... or grainy...? has anyone had this done? I get the reeling it would be about £900.00 for real leather and therefore would not be worth paying for.
