Forget all this flooding business £1000 to rent!!! You can pay a mortgage off at less than that with current interest rates!!

Irrelevant if you don't have a deposit though...

Indeed you need a about 25-35k deposit for a fairly decent house round here. :shocked:

And my point still is why would you pay that a month for a roof over ya head that will never belong to you? Dead wasted money unless short term ie under 12 months

Renting has it plus side I never have to pay to fix anything & I live in a house in a very nice area that would cost me about £300k to buy. I never bothered buying as I have moved around a lot been here nearly 2 years now quite long for me lol

I just never got around to buying rented for over 15 years now
