MOT and odometer readings

Had the Golf MOT'd last month and on the certificate they got the odometer reading wrong, they put 52xxx instead of 42xxx.  When I told them they said it's fine, don't worry about it it doesn't matter.  Checked on the VOSA website and that's the figure that's been submitted.

However... I'm thinking on to trying to selling the car in the future.  It's going to look like the car's been clocked now!  40k at one MOT, 52k at the next, than back down to something like 46k next year  :undecided:

For those of you that read into my recent car problems, yes it was ATS that MOT'd the car last month!

ide get them to change it, they made the mistake, they pay the consequences. even if you werent selling it ide still of had it changed due to the fact that its not right, your paying them at the end of the day so you want correct stuff.

They're not interested as it "doesn't make any difference", in their opinion.  This is the smallest of the trouble they've caused me recently!  I'm probably this close to being barred from the place  :grin:

Guys, to clear this up, they've told me they will not change it.

Contact VOSA, report them for incompetence and neglect.

And the local rag, no one likes bad publicity.

As a last ditch attempt, call them once more and ask them unless they rectify it, you'll do the above.
