Removing wing mirror covers?

Just a quick question.
My bora came with one wing mirror a diferant colour to the car and I'm planning on painting it tomorrow after iv finished painting my wheels. How do I get the wing morrow covers off? Don't want to break them.

Is the procedure shown in the pic valid for R32/anni mirrors?
