Am after what wheels they are really. Are they aftermarket or an option as standard? Never seen them before. All the GTI's ive seen (and thats really not many tbh) have the big telephone dial alloys.

if you ask me mate, id be looking at focus st, or mk5 gti, for one im a massive ford fan and you cant beat the sound of the 2.5 5 pot, a st is what? 225 bhp if you map it your gonna have say  40 bhp extra and it will be cheaper and shouldnt miss a beat, mk5 gti well lovely car some come with great spec, just the power is a little lower and wont have the same sound as the st upto you at the end of the day
MK4 golf 1.8 turbo agu :)

Mine was pretty quick with a stage 1 remap and intake. It ran 14.1 - 1/4 mile et's @ 99 mph. That was running 92 octane in the US. With higher octane stage 1 would likely run 13.8 et's, but these are a bit slow off the line = 2.2 sec 60ft et's are about average so you will likely keep up with low to mid 13et cars from a roll as they usually have 1.6 sec 60ft et's. And even better if you go stage 2 w/downpipe and intake.

^Above is best case scenario^

BTW - mine was never 7 sec + 0 to 60mph ;[ Always closer to 6 sec. flat @ stage 1
But possible because as I said the challenge is to hook up off the line from a dig ;}
