In all honesty, I think you come across as articulate and intelligent with the goatee than without.

But then again, I'm biased as I have a beard and that makes me frikkin' Einstein!

Get a haircut you bum!

So pleased i work in engineering,i dont think i could handle getting suited and booted everyday and being criticised for not having the correct knot in my tie!
In fact you get grief in most of the places i work if your not scruffy/covered in oil as it looks like youve not done bugger all

God bless manual labour/being on the tools.

I think you look fine to be quite honest though. :smug:

Snap, sod suits and shirts and sh!t, never have a shower in the morning and shave twice a week max

Looks like were in the same game
I never have a shower before i go to work, however after a 17 hour shift on a sat and 17 on sunday, theres nothing i want to do more than have a shower when i get home.
Although im made to strip off at the front door as im usually covered in graphite, stag, general aerospace manufacturing smeg.
Balls to being a pen pusher!

ya scruffy b*stard!!

wouldn't worry about it nick...

if you want to progress then toe the line... get a haircut and shave off the face fungus, couple of new shirts from M&S and everything will be peachy... you'll be in that 996 before you know it

alternatively... rebel and be a beardy weirdy in an MX5

the choice is yours

This. Don't think I could function properly without a shower in the morning.

I have a beard and a purple mohawk. No one has said anything to me about it, I am an engineer though but I still get sent on site on breakdowns and have to deal with customers. Its my choice how I look not my boss. Should be the same for you really, its a bit nazi saying 'you cannot have a beard' I think
