I hate black shoes! Not worn black shoes for work since the 70's.
I always wear brown

I wouldn't hold out for getting a company credit card, i'd see if you can get one yourself.

I'd ask if he is going to pay for a new suit and shoes!

Don't go there Len. I've just had to pay for £300 of flights and £600 of hotel out of my savings because they "Don't do company credit cards" and I have to claim it back on expenses. Pretty sure asking for money for shoes and a suit will go down like a sack of sh!t.

Nick

I wouldn't be going to work if my company expected me to do that. If they need me somewhere, they can pay for the flights and accommodation to allow me to work there by what ever means possible.

Essentially what they are getting from you is 0% finance as I assume they would pay it back at the end of the month.

Dress for the job you want not the job you have.

My Career took off when I chopped my hippie locks and stopped looking deviant on the outside, also stopped getting tugged by the old bill
Its good blending into the crowd, I look like any other suit in a long Kashmir coat and case but my mind is just as it was years ago but without the need to advertise my leanings or political direction.
I think it is more subversive than having skanky dreads and a f**k the government T shirt

As you get older, you realise that people can be individial without looking like someone from the Mos Eisley Cantina.
