Winter Beach Trip

Took a trip to the beach today, came away with these:

nice and minimalistic,  slightly too dark for my liking but good work!

Found it hard to get the right WB to correct the cast of the filter.

The light was rubbish anyway as it was only a pilot run so to speak. Ended up with a lot of junk that was ruined by flare and reflections.

guessing you got a pink tint from the ND filter?

you could either take a sample off the buoy ( I assume that's white) or take a white balance card (or just a peice of white paper) for a reference shot next time  :undecided:

Nope was a cold blue tint. I'll take a piece of white card next time

Do you not correct that in LR afterwards? I know a good WB is essential to begin with but minor colour correction can be tweaked if shot in RAW later no?

I like the 2nd one

I always colour correct in LR if light isn't 100%. Plus it's easy enough to bath process on import if needed too
