Mk2 suspension - new project
« on: 14 February 2012, 15:39 »
Hi,

Just got an '89 3 door 1.8 16v gti.

It has been lowered on adjustable coilovers but the previous owner had no idea what make and i have no idea how good they are or how long they are going to last!

So...i need to get new ones....

What are people using for a low look with a medium/ sport ride?

Thanks!

I'll save you the time looking, all coil overs are sh!t if you are looking for any kind of comfort.

But has been covered hundreds of times including a massive post comparing different springs shocks with coils

boge turbogas shocks and decewnt springs, koni, eibach or spax. gives you fantastic all round performance. ive got boge shocks and eibach springs and the only thing id say about them is they are a bit soft for the track.
