Spoke to carbon tuning they want mechanical work done elsewhere and then 325 for software so I think not!

That's not a ridiculous price really, and in this trade you pay for quality.

A remap is only ever as good as the company that's developed it and seeing as it's the most fundamental aspect of your car, controlling every parameter, it's the one area not to skimp on.

I can vouch for Carbon, they will see you right.  And if that price includes a mobile tune, it's reasonable.

Question is - what do you want from the car and how much do you want to spend?

yes i know some jainstrean companies like jbs etc charge 800 odd but u just wudnt get the work done by places like that!

there a local garage who wants 250 to gut dpf and remap am very sceptical about it as it sounds too cheap however he has done loads of audis  bt not a golf yet

i asked if its a generic map he goes we basically read your map and send it away and they email one back but tbh he didnt sound overly impressive!

the carbon chip guy sounded like a honest decent bloke as its close to me i cud try them the onlything was at the moment they are not doing the mechanical work, so that would mean i wud have to get the gutting done at a garage and them drive up with no dpf in place.

At the moment its looking like carbon unless r tech can offer anything better.

A case of the time about 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'

The mileage I currently do means that the DPF shouldn't ever be an issue for me; I also have full VAGCOM so can monitor everything and fix it before it becomes a problem  :nerd:

I'll most likely get a DPF delete pipe in the future but it's not top of my list

You won't be disappointed with the Carbon remap
