So if I've read properly, Recaros already have the heated elements inside them, but unless you paid for heated seats as an optional extra, VW wouldn't wire them in?

Hi mate have a look under your seat next to your air bag plug if you got a green plug you got heated seats

Lol! You've misunderstood me.. I started this thread, because I already have heated seats!!!

I read the link you attached, n that's what information I took from it, that Recaros already come with the heated filaments built in (regardless of whether or not your car has heated seats as an extra)! Which is how, I'm guessing, you went about retro fitting the wiring and controls to your seats!?
